The experimental psychology lab is a separate service unit providing space and equipment for executing experimental and observational studies in the Prague branch of the institute. The lab consists of three rooms, one intended mainly for observational studies, another one equipped with technical tools for experimental studies, and the third one serving as the preparation room and workshop. The equipment includes a range of PC computers, two eyetrackers, and a range of cameras and audiorecorders. The computers in the lab are equipped with software for precisely timed stimulus presentation and response timing (DmDX, PsychoPy and Presentation).
The lab serves as the research base the Institute of Psychology, as well as the Laboratory of Behavioral and Linguistic Studies (Labels), a research lab jointly maintained by the Institute of Psychology and the Faculty of Arts of the Charles University.
