  • Tenure Track Positions in COMPUTER SCIENCE and in ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE
    1. 7. 2019 - 16. 9. 2019 | The Institute of Computer Sciences of the Czech Academy of Sciences (ICS CAS), Prague, invites applications for the tenure track positions in Computer Science and in Artificial Inteligence.
  • Future Minds. The Metaphysics and Ethics of AI
    12. 6. 2019 - 13. 6. 2019 | Ernst Mach Workshop VIII, June 12-13, 2019, Národní 3, Prague
  • Workshop on Admissible Rules and Unification III
    11. 5. 2019 - 12. 5. 2019 | Admissible rules of a logical system are rules that can be added to the system without changing its set of theorems. In algebra, admissible rules correspond to quasi-equations holding in free algebras, while from a computer science perspective, admissibility is intimately related to equational unification. The aim of this workshop is to bring together experts from these distinct areas of research spanning mathematics, philosophy, and computer science, to share ideas and methods. Previous editions of the workshop were held in Utrecht (2011), and in Les Diablerets (2015). Everybody is welcome to attend the workshop. Giving a talk and attending the conference dinner is by invitation only.
  • Prague Gathering of Logicians 2019
    9. 5. 2019 - 10. 5. 2019 | Since 2013, the Prague Gathering of Logicians is an annual meeting of researchers in logic and related disciplines, mostly based in the Czech Republic. This year's edition will take place on 9-10 May and is co-organized by The Institute of the Theory of Information and Automation, Institute of Computer Science and the Institute of Philosophy of the Czech Academy of Sciences.
  • Doctoral days 2019
    16. 4. 2019 - 18. 4. 2019 | Let us inform you that the Doctoral days 2019 will take place in Kolín from 16th-18th April 2019. Further information are available at the event webpage. We would like to invite also their supervisors and other colleagues. Deadline for registration is 17th March.
  • International workshop on psychometric computing - Psychoco 2019
    21. 2. 2019 - 22. 2. 2019 | The aim of this workshop is to bring together researchers from statistics, psychology, and related disciplines working on modern techniques for the analysis of data from psychology and the social sciences. Following the fruitful previous workshops, it will provide a platform for discussions about implementation and application of software on the interface of statistical inference, computational methods, and applied psychometrics. A special emphasis is given to implementations in the R system for statistical computing. To create a diverse and inspiring program, both authors and users of psychometric software packages are encouraged to present their recent and ongoing work.
