Aim of this project is (1) to propose the mechanism of the ion transfer across the interface between an aqueous electrolyte solution and a room-temperature ionic liquid facilitated by the complex formation of the ion with a neutral ligand and, on this basis, (2) a development of a new type of ion selective electrode with liquid membrane.
