Topical Problems of Fluid Mechanics 2020

dedicated to prof. Karel Kozel

Prague
Institute of Thermomechanics of the Czech Academy of Sciences
19.2. - 21.2. 2020

This year conference is dedicated to our distinguished colleague, professor Karel Kozel, on the occasion of his 80th birthday. Karel Kozel is one of the founders of this conference, long-time professor at the Czech Technical University in Prague and member of the Institute of Thermomechanics of CAS. This meeting will be a great opportunity for all of us to express our deep gratitude for his lifetime work.

Aim of the Conference

The aim of the conference is to discuss contemporary problems of fluid mechanics and to bring out latest results obtained in frame of grant projects supported by grant agencies in Czech Republic and abroad. The attendance of experts from academic institutes, technical universities and from other research institutions is assumed. Official language of the conference is English.

Scope of the Conference

Scope of the conference covers the whole field of fluid mechanics. Papers on experimental, numerical and theoretical investigations of problems in fluid mechanics are welcome. Also reports on new mathematical and/or experimental aproaches to solution of fluid flow problems are of great interest.

Papers

Papers should be prepared according to Instructions for Authors. Both doc and pdf format of the paper are accepted. Size of the uploaded file should not exceed 10MB. If the paper is written in Tex please upload also source file. Papers will be subject to review process so please note earlier dates of registration and paper submission.

Based on the quality of presented contributions, certain number of authors will be invited to submit the extended, full version of their work for publication in a regular issue of the journal of Flow, Turbulence and Combustion - an international journal published in association with ERCOFTAC. The selection of papers will be made after the conference, by the proceedings editors, in cooperation with the editor in chief of the journal. Such invited submissions, will be subject to a standard review and publishing process of the journal.

Important Dates

Participants should register before November 30, 2019. Papers should be uploaded through the web page no later than December 22, 2019. Paper submission has been shifted to earlier date due to review process.
