Abstrakt:
Agriculture and land use will be characterized on the basis of charred plant remains from La Tène sites in the Weinviertel region, especially from the largest known lowland settlement of Sandberg-Roseldorf. The recorded plant spectrum points to a rich array of crop plants, to Mediterranean contacts, to local transhumant grazing systems and to intensive forest use, among others.
