Energy Industry in a Broader Context is a collaborative workshop involving scientists, power industry leaders and government officials to outline the future of the energy industry and discuss how energy technologies and the upcoming transition of the energy industry influence the environment, economy, public health, or public acceptance. The purpose is to debate the risks, constraints and opportunities for research of energy technologies of the future.
The workshop seeks to present ideas, examples, and projects with a strong emphasis on promoting national awareness and inspiring action towards solving emerging problems. Through this event we hope to presentpromising research themesand technologies and challenge the attendees to discuss the feasibility of the technologies and trends for the future.
The workshop is organized by the Institute of Thermomechanics, The Czech Academy of Sciences under the patronage of the Commission for Energy of The Czech Academy of Sciences and sponsored by the STRATEGY AV21 initiative of The Czech Academy of Sciences.
