The Laboratory of Thermomechanics of Materials was established in 2018 and mainly focuses on both the theoretical and experimental basic research in mechanical engineering. The main research topic held is the development of constitutive models of materials, especially the models of metal plasticity, and the experimental analysis of plasticity of metals. Our laboratory covers the whole process of plasticity models development, including models’ proposal, analysis, implementation in commercial as well as in-house FE codes, verification, validation, and calibration.
