Abstract:
Exposure of plants to metals is primarily through the aqueous phase of soil, soil solution. In this case, composition of the soil solution including concentration of potentially toxic metals in the solution and speciation of these elements may influence the reactivity, mobility, and bioavailability of the elements. In our project, detail composition of soil solution will be investigated in relation to soil properties, plant species, and methods of collection of this solution. Cadmium, lead, copper, and zinc are the elements of interest. Following objectives will be fulfilled within the project: i) The composition of soil solution including organic compounds, complexes and element bounds into individual components of the soil solution, and the possibility to assess validation parameters of individual analytical procedures for determinations of soil solution components will be investigated. ii) The interactions of individual compositions of soil solutions, and their effect on plant-available....
