Inspired by the canonization process of the beatified Hroznata, the founder of the Teplá Monastery, this book provides a synthesis of the views of various disciplines on the origin and development of the cult of saints – their “second life” in medieval Central Europe. Special (but not exclusive) attention is devoted to saints of Czech origin.
