Co bude Vaší pracovní náplní?

  • Zajištění provozu laboratoří (lab manager),
  • správa bezpečnosti laboratoří, objednávky a správa chemikálií (lab safety manager),
  • podpora správy agendy geneticky modifikovaných organizmů (GMO manager),
  • rutinní laboratorní práce (příprava roztoků a médií, rutinní přístrojová měření).

PhD Student in Bioanalytics

Responsibilities and tasks

The selected candidate will carry out research of methods for immobilization of various biological entities on the surface of a plasmonic sensor and development of methodologies enabling biosensor-based investigation of analyte-receptor (e.g. protein-protein and protein-cell) interactions. The developed immobilization methods and methodologies will be applied to the investigation of interactions of selected biomolecules and their quantification.

 

Requirements:

  • MS or equivalent degree in chemistry, biochemistry, biophysics or similar,
  • experience in research of biosensors for investigation of biomolecular interactions or detection of biomolecules.

Your chips will be the corner stones of cutting-edge experiments to verify the predictions of the molecular dynamics simulations of your colleagues. Your results will contribute to the development of novel electromagnetic technologies for gentler and more effective biomedicine and bionanotechnology of the future. Practically speaking, you can learn how to design microwave circuits in the 3D simulator of the electromagnetic field, how to fabricate your design by the standard laser lithography process, and how to measure biological specimen on your chip by vector network analyzer connected thru the mechanical probe system. Responsibilities and tasks

The selected candidate will carry out research into optical methods and measurement systems for plasmonic biosensors. Specifically, the selected candidate will be expected to develop advanced optical platforms based on plasmonic (nano)structures for affinity biosensing and participate in their applications for the detection of biomolecules and investigation of biomolecular interactions related to medical diagnostics.

 

Requirements 

  • Ph. D. degree in optics, optoelectronics, physics, electrical engineering or similar,
  • publication record in the field of optical measurement methods, optical systems, waveguide optics and/or plasmonics, and optical (bio)sensing,
  • experience in the design and experimental development of advanced optical platforms.
