New items – September 2019

New items overview for the September – it’s possible to view the whole list at once or have it sorted out by fields of knowledge.
A selection of ten interesting new arrivals is available for browsing in the study (without having to order them in advance) and it simultaneously possible to browse these publications in digitalised form on the computer reserved for work with the Digital library of Czech Academy of Sciences. You can leaf through them there and possibly print out parts of them.

Study room reopened

Beginning Monday September 9th the study room will return to regular service (Monday to Friday, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.). During the summer closure of the library, 28 new study spots were added in the rear end of the building. These spots are equips with electrical sockets and desk lamps as per usual. The location of library collection is also changed. Both book and periodical collections are now located together on the left side of the study room. The Pragensiae collection was distributed between individual subjects.

Book Tips: The book donation of the Indian Embassy

In March 2019, we received a book donation from the Indian Embassy. Ceremonial handover of approximately a hundred books was attended by Her Excellence Narinder Chauhan, representatives of the Czech Academy of Sciences and the library. From the generous donation we have selected and in the study displayed 16 books that will introduce you to Indian history, culture, art, politics and even cuisine.
