Parmena pubescens pilosa develops in Euphorbia and on the dead stalks of the host plant it can be also frequently found. It is a nocturnal species, and therefore, it is necessary to inspect the plants at night.

Body length:	5 - 10 mm
Life cycle:	1 year
Adults in:	April - October
Host plant:	Euphorbia
Distribution:	Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Greece, Montenegro, Slovenia

The depicted beetle was collected and photographed on the host-plant (Euphorbia characias wulfenii) in Areopolis (SW of Peloponnese, Greece).
