History of the project proposal

May 2015 - Initial idea of the project comes to light: "We need upgrade!"

end of January 2016 – Submission of proposal into Plasma Exhaust Physics (PEX) call for 2 MA, 5 T, 1 second pulses tokamak with 4 MW NBI and 4 MW ECRH heating

8. 2. 2016 - OP RDE call "Excellent research"(Operational Programme Research, Development, Education) announced

27. 6. 2016 – COMPASS-U project submitted to the 1st round of the call "Excellent research" of Operational Programme Research, Development, Education (OP RDE)

11. 5. 2017 - COMPASS-U project submitted into 2nd round of OP RDE call "Excellent research"

24. 11. 2017 - COMPASS-U project is named as recommended for financing by the Evaluation committee

28. 2. 2018 – Decision on granting the project issued by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport of the government of the Czech Republic
