Science popularization

Optical Properties of Solids
We are very honoured to present a 12 lecture series on Optical Properties of Solids given by Dr. Stefan Zollner from New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, USA. The lectures will take place from February to July 2019 on Friday mornings from 09.00 -11.00 in the main lecture hall of Slovanka. Please find the schedule and the recordings of given lectures in the following link.

Biomedical Journal Club
One of the many aims of this club is to keep abreast of the scientific literature, which has expanded greatly over recent years.

Applied research and cooperation with industry

The National Centre of Competence for Materials, Advanced Technologies, Coatings and their Applications (MATCA) is an academic-industrial cooperation focused on the development and applications of three main technologies: plasma, laser and 3D printing (additive technology). It was established in 2018. www.matca.cz
