National Standards

ČAS – Czech standardization agency
Since 2018, the Czech Standardization Agency has taken over from the ÚNMZ (Czech Office for Standards, Metrology and Testing) all activities related to the production and distribution of technical standards. Search standards at ČSN - ONLINE.

ANSI - American National Standards Institute
The American National Standards Institute is a private non-profit organization that oversees the development of voluntary consensus standards for products, services, processes, systems, and personnel in the United States. It provides searching not only in ANSI standards here.

International Standards

ISO - International Organization for Standardization
It is the world's largest developer of voluntary international standards and facilitates world trade by providing common standards except from electrotechnical standards. Searching in the ISO database here.

IEC - International Electrotechnical Commission
It is an international standards organization that prepares and publishes International Standards for all electrical, electronic and related technologies – collectively known as "electrotechnology".

European Standards

CEN - Comité Européen de Normalisation
It is a public standards organization whose mission is to foster the economy of the European Union (EU) in global trading. CEN is officially recognised as a European standards body by the European Union. Searching for the standards here.

CENELEC - Comité Européen de Normalisation Électrotechnique
The European Committee for Electrotechnical Standardization, like CEN, is part of the European standardization system. Database of the standards here.

National Patent Offices

ÚPV ČR – Industrial Property Office
The Industrial Property Office is the central body of the state administration of the Czech Republic for the protection of industrial property.


United States Patent and Trademark Office
It is an agency in the U.S. Department of Commerce that issues patents to inventors and businesses for their inventions, and trademark registration for product and intellectual property identification.


Japan Patent Office
It is a Japanese governmental agency in charge of industrial property right affairs, under the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry. Searching in the patent database here.

Deutsches Patent und Markenamt
The German Patent Office is responsible for issuing patents, registering industrial designs, trademarks, and informing the public about industrial property rights.

International Patent Databases

EPO – European Patent Office EPO The EPO grants European patents that are valid in several or all Member States. This depends on the applicant. The EPO also processes international patent applications.


WIPO - World Intellectual Property Organization
It is a UN organization that oversees the protection of copyright and other intellectual property rights.
