We are looking for a suitable candidate for the position of Research fellow (CeNDYNMAT project) for Department Impact and Waves in Solids.

Job description:
• Application of molecular dynamics simulation in wave propagation problems;
• Development of methods for description of damage processes at atomic level;
• Analysis of the ductile-brittle transition in dynamic cracks growth.

Location: Institute of Thermomechanics of the CAS, v. v. i.

Required degree: PhD in the field, adequate publishing record

Required knowledge:
• to perform molecular dynamics simulations under the LAMMPS code;
• to develop procedures for molecular dynamics applications;
• individual approach for the solution of problems.

Duration of contract: for a fixed period 18 months

Type of contract: full time (1.0)

Expected start date: 1. 12. 2019
