Project: Investigation of propagation of electromagnetic waves observed on the satellite DEMETER
The project consists of two parts. 1) The analysis and physical and/or geophysical interpretation of electromagnetic plasma waves measured onboard the French satellite DEMETER. The advanced techniques of analysis will be applied, mainly: plane wave analysis, wave distribution function analysis and backward ray tracing with initial conditions given by the plane wave analysis and plasma measurements by DEMETER. 2) The development of the high frequency analyzer for the future French satellite TARANIS intended to study high altitude transient luminous events like sprites and terrestrial gamma ray flashes. Testing and preparation of data processing from this instrument.
