Doc. Milan Horniaček - Obituary

It is with deep sadness that we inform you that doc. Ing. Milan Horniaček, CSc. died on September 10, 2017.
Doc. Horniaček was a CERGE-EI faculty member from 1995 to 1999, teaching microeconomics and game theory to PhD students. In the 1990s, he was a Visiting Scholar at the Faculty of Economics and Politics, University of Cambridge (1993), and at the Department of Economics, Harvard University (1995). From 2007, he was affiliated with the Institute of Economics at the Faculty of Social and Economic Sciences, Comenius University in Bratislava, Slovakia, where he held the posts of a Researcher and later Vice Dean for Undergraduate Studies.
Director Michal Kejak stated: “It is very sad news for the CERGE-EI community. I would like to express my deepest condolences to Milan’s family.”
The funeral service will be held on Monday, September 18, 2017 at 15:00 in Bratislava crematorium.
