We are very proud to announce that the article “Social contagion of ethnic hostility“ by Michal Bauer (CERGE-EI faculty member and IES FSV UK), Jana Cahlíková (CERGE-EI PhD graduate, Max Planck Institute for Tax Law and Public Finance), Julie Chytilová (CERGE-EI researcher and IES FSV UK), and Tomáš Želinský (Faculty of Economics, Technical University of Košice) has been published by the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (PNAS) journal. Their findings seek to explain why ethnic hostilities can spread quickly, even in societies with few visible signs of interethnic hatred.
PNAS is one of the world's most-cited and comprehensive multidisciplinary scientific journals, publishing more than 3,200 research papers annually. It is the official scientific journal of the National Academy of Sciences, published since 1915. With broad coverage, spanning the biological, physical, and social sciences, the journal publishes original research alongside scientific reviews, commentaries, and letters. Nearly half of all accepted papers come from authors outside the United States.
Congratulations once again to all the authors!
