Final Projects of the Master's in Applied Economics 2018 Cohort
// ARTICLE CREATION AND/OR MODIFICATION DATES // note the special format due to date() not functioning with other languages ?>30 July, 2018
Project Seminar is a core module of the one-year Master's in Applied Economics program at CERGE-EI. Over a period of three months, students work intensively for clients in the private, public or non-profit sectors, applying their analytical skills to develop informed recommendations for real-world strategic challenges.
This year's clients again came from diverse sectors: our students worked for Cogvio (a data science company in the pharmaceutical sector), CSOB bank, and Nielsen (a leading market research company). The student teams presented their projects in front of a jury of CERGE-EI faculty members and alumni.
Finally, the 2018 project prize was awarded to the CSOB project team for their combination of effective teamwork, added value and the quality of their final presentation. Eva Hromádková, the Program Director, said: "Similarly to last year, it was very hard to choose the winner, as all students submitted very high-quality projects. Primarily, it was data-oriented work, with direct implications for business."
Our congratulations to all the teams for their excellent work!
