With the new academic year approaching, let us cordially welcome the new faculty members at CERGE-EI. Earlier this year, the CERGE-EI hiring committee reviewed over 300 applications from the international job market, and we are happy to have two new tenure-track assistant professors joining our international faculty.
Vasily Korovkin, focuses on industrial organization, political economy, and development economics. He received his BSc in Economics from Moscow State University, his MA degree in Economics from the New Economic School in Moscow, and his PhD in Global Economics and Management from the UCLA Anderson School of Management.
Christian Ochsner focuses on economic history and applied economics. He holds a PhD from the University of Technology Dresden and was previously employed as a Junior Economist at the ifo Institute for Economic Research in Dresden. He visited the University of Warwick and the Institute for Advanced Studies Vienna. He also holds a part-time research fellow/post-doc position at the University of Zurich.
We wish both of them a smooth start at CERGE-EI, and we are looking forward to the inspiration and input that they will bring to our research community.
