CERGE-EI Introduces Integrated MA/PhD Study Track
// ARTICLE CREATION AND/OR MODIFICATION DATES // note the special format due to date() not functioning with other languages ?>11 December, 2018
From December 4, students interested in our PhD in Economics program can submit their applications. We are proud to announce that this year, we also accept applications from academically strong BA holders.
BA graduates will be enrolled in the Master in Economic Research program, our brand new part of the integrated MA/PhD study track.
"The standard PhD programs in economics at the top US and Western European universities have an integrated 2-year MA program, where students acquire knowledge and skills to be able to conduct independent economic research.
The PhD in Economics at CERGE-EI offers the same structure and the same quality,” said Deputy Director for Graduate Studies Alena Bičáková.
"Thanks to the integrated MA in Economic Research program, we are now able
to accept the best students right after completing their undergraduate studies. This is the most direct track towards obtaining a PhD degree in Economics and starting
a career in academia or in a top research position at an international organizations, public policy institution or one of the most prestigious think tanks," she added.
The deadline for submitting applications is March 31, 2019. Find out more here.
