CERGE-EI Launched its Economics Discovery Hub to Give University Students Access to First Class Educational Activities for Free

CERGE-EI launched a new project entitled Economics Discovery Hub based upon the success of the Coursera Learning Hub and the Applied Economics Discovery Hub that were successfully run in past years.
The Economics Discovery Hub is a free exploratory platform organized by the CERGE-EI graduate study programs (MA in Applied Economics and PhD in Economics). Its aim is to aid student development and skills improvement. The activities are open to students with any background. All activities are free of charge, in English, and take place at CERGE-EI (Politických vězňů 7, Prague 1).
The Economics Discovery Hub offers various free courses, workshops, and lectures via its two areas: data and research skills and cutting edge economics. The lecturers are business professionals, CERGE-EI alumni, and current CERGE-EI students.
Some of the activities, including Mastering Excel Basics, Web App Development in R Using Shiny, Creating Business Impact with Data or A Gentle Excursion into Data Visualization, have all started in recent weeks and interest has exceeded capacity.
There are still more interesting activities coming up, The Best from the Economics of Information Goods, Data Management and Analytical Skills Using Stata or the Data-Driven Changemakers Datathon.
The spring session will start in February 2017.
