On April 5 and 6, CERGE-EI hosted the Global Macroeconomics Workshop – a conference that brings together researchers working in all areas of macroeconomics, monetary economics, and labor economics.
"The objective is to bring together young researchers working on the research frontier, and to foster and initiate their collaboration," said one of the organizers, Marek Kapicka (CERGE-EI).
Unlike many conferences, the Global Macroeconomics Workshop is designed to encourage lively discussion during the presentations. This protocol allows the audience to engage heavily and supports the exchange of ideas.
The Third Global Macroeconomics Workshop was organized by Marek Kapicka and Ctirad Slavik (CERGE-EI) in cooperation with Vienna Macro and Global Macro: David Andolfatto (FRB St. Louis and SFU), Martin Gervais (Georgia), Gabriel Lee (Regensburg and IHS). Over 40 researchers took part.
