MAE 2017 Cohort Showcases Results of Project Seminar
// ARTICLE CREATION AND/OR MODIFICATION DATES // note the special format due to date() not functioning with other languages ?>14 July, 2017
Project Seminar is a core module of the one-year Masters in Applied Economics program at CERGE-EI. Over a period of four months, students work intensively for clients in the private, public or non-profit sectors, applying their analytical skills to develop informed recommendations for real-world strategic challenges.
This year's clients came from diverse sectors of the economy. Our students worked for Advanced Healthcare Management Institute, Liftago (a founder of a taxi ordering mobile application), Nielsen (a leading market research company), and Platforma pro sociální bydlení (Platform for Social Housing in Brno). The student teams presented their projects in front of a jury of CERGE-EI and MAE faculty members. In the face of stiff competition, the 2017 project prize was awarded to the Nielsen project team for their combination of effective teamwork, added value and quality of their final presentation.
Our congratulations to all the teams for their hard work.
