CERGE-EI to Host the 8th BRIC Conference in June 2020

// CREATION DATE MOVED UP ?>The 8th edition of the Bounded Rationality in Choice (BRIC) conference is taking place at CERGE-EI in June 2020. The conference brings together researchers in choice theory, experimental economics and behavioral economics who are interested in how bounds on rationality play out in individual decisions and interactive situations. The local organizer for BRIC 2020 in Prague is Jakub Steiner.

CERGE-EI Part of the GEOCEP Project led by Charles University

// CREATION DATE MOVED UP ?>Charles University will lead a large international research consortium on modeling climate policies. As CERGE-EI is a joint place of Charles University, it would also be involved in the project.

High School Students Try Research Work at CERGE-EI

// CREATION DATE MOVED UP ?>The fourth season of CERGE-EI’s program for high schoolers has ended with the final presentations of five research projects taking place. Ivan Bejin, Adam Bok, Adéla Horáková, Anna Pánková and Vojtěch Ruda focused on the gender gap in Czech political representation and were chosen by the evaluation committee as this year’s winners.

Former CERGE Director Prof. Turnovec Has Passed Away

// CREATION DATE MOVED UP ?>It is with deep sadness that we inform you that Professor František Turnovec passed away on Tuesday, December 10. Professor Turnovec was an important Czech mathematical economist who joined then CERGE (at that time, CERGE and EI had separate directors) shortly after its foundation in 1993 and served as its director between 1994 – 1999.
