Photogenic Science 2019 knows its winners
On Thursday, October 10, the American Center in Prague hosted the opening of the contest Photogenic Science (read the full report - in Czech only - on the website of the Czech Academy of Sciences here), in which all employees of all institutions of the Academy of Sciences could send their photos. Sixth year of this photography competition showed again that science is not only a way to know, but can also have an artistic dimension.
There were three categories competing: the main category Photogenic Science, the subcategory Scientific selfie and the subcategory Scientists and their hobby. This year, a record number of photos - 350 in total - entered the competition from 98 employees from the institutions of the Cezch Academy of Sciences. Petra Palečková, PR coordinator of our institute, won 3. place with photography Scientific pastime in category Scientists and their hobby.

Selected photos of the photo competition will be presented in the calendar of the Czech Academy of Sciences for 2020 and will also be part of the exhibition, which is currently taking place in the American Center in Prague until 29 October 2019.
