Research Unit for Medical Law and Bioethics
The Research Unit for Medical Law and Bioethics was founded on 1 January 2011 by the Institute of Law and State of Czech Academy of Sciences.
The Research Unit for Medical Law and Bioethics conducts comparative research in medical law and bioethics.
The aim of the Research Unit is to add to the level of knowledge of the medical law and bioethics in the Czech Republic and to establish an understanding of the different solutions to legal and ethical problems concerning biology and medicine.

The Research Unit publishes new journal, the Journal of Medical Law and Bioethics. The Journal is published in e-form ( medlawjournal.ilaw.cas.cz ) four times a year. Issue 1 was published in April 2011.
