We developed miniature fiber optic pH-meter based on ratiometric fluorescence principle. Device can determine pH in a range of 5.5-7.5 with a resolution of 0.1 during several seconds. The probe allows the minimally invasive monitoring of natural living samples (tissues, embryos, body liquids) to be performed and can even be used for in-vivo measurements in living cells. Results important for plant nutrition and agriculture production were achieved by measurement of hair roots of Arabidopsis th.
