NYU Shanghai opens a search for two Tenured or Tenure-Track positions in Mathematics. The searches are open -- not restricted to any field within mathematics and all levels of seniority will be considered.

All domains of mathematics will be considered. The mathematics group at NYU Shanghai has particular interests and strengths in probability, analysis and partial differential equations, dynamical systems, and geometry.

The Mathematics group at NYU Shanghai is built with the collaboration and help of the Courant Institute. As such, affiliations with the Courant Institute will be encouraged.

Terms of employment at NYU Shanghai are comparable to U.S. institutions with respect to research start-up funds and compensation, and they include housing subsidies and educational subsidies for children. Faculty may also spend time at NYU New York and other sites of the NYU Global Network, engaging in both research and teaching.

Qualifications

Candidates must hold a PhD in Mathematics, or a related field (or expect it by the start date).

*Candidates at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank must submit names and email addresses for three references. For senior candidates, references will be requested at a later stage, as needed.
