Institute of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics
CET - Centre Telč is a part of the Institute of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics of the Czech Academy of Science, which was build with financial support from the European Union and the Czech Republic through the structural funds and the state budget allocated to the Operational Programme Research and Development for the period 2007 – 2013.
The CET studies materials, constructions and historical sites and is equipped with a unique infrastructure for research on basic topics as well as for verification of application and innovation potential of newly developed technologies for diagnostics, extension of lifespan, preventive protection and safeguarding of long-term sustainable use of cultural heritage as well as the current building fund.
CET is founded on and further develops research activities supported by the European Commission within the ARCCHIP Centre of Excellence.
