This paper focuses on the contemporary Czech anarchist movement''s relation to sexuality. Sexuality issues were for a long time absent or marginalized in the movement; however, in the last years, the issue started to be addressed. I draw on my ethnographical study based on participant observation, analysis of the media of the movement and interviews with activists. Since the early 1990s, the movement was male dominated and strictly heterosexual; where sexual relationships served as a mobilization of girls/women into the movement. Furthermore, queer issues and queer people were absent or silenced in the Czech anarchist movement, which was based on a dominant hetero-normative masculinity, defined by anti-fascism, physical fights with neo-Nazis and police and a strong macho image. I show how Czech anarchist-feminist collectives address sexuality (queer, homosexuality, bisexuality, rape, pornography and pedophilia) and how they cooperate with LGBT activists.
