Monocladum iranicum is a very rare nocturnal species endemic to Iran. Although larvae of this species are very likely to be polyphagous on various woody plants the species has got very strict habitat requirements. Males can occasionally be attracted to light. Females do not fly or come to light and consequently are very difficult to find. They oviposit into the soil.
