Raisa Khadija Muhtar (University of St Andrews), Georgiana Puscas (University of Warwick), Viktor Veterinarov (Lomonosov Moscow State University) and Komila Zakirova (Westminster International University in Tashkent) have been selected as the finalists of the New Economic Talent 2020 competition. The online final round will take place on June 10, 2020.
Vladimír Novák (CERGE-EI PhD candidate) will take up a postdoctoral position at Bocconi University in Milan, which repeatedly ranks as one of the best universities in economics and econometrics studies.
CERGE-EI researchers are participating in the Model antiCOVID-19 for the Czech Republic19 initative that has been formed to develop models that compare the effects of measures imposed to prevent the further spread of the coronavirus. The Initiative is overseen by the IDEA think tank.
