An interesting event of this year's 61st International Engineering Fair in Brno was the seminar devoted to nuclear energy and industrial possibilities within the implementation of the ITER fusion reactor. The seminar was organized by the Research Center Řež in cooperation with IPP and was held on Monday, October 7, 2019.
"ITER Industry Day" provided information not only about the ITER experimental fusion reactor project, but also about the possibilities and opportunities for the Czech industry to supply and contract for its construction. For example, ITER CEO Bernard Bigot and Massimo Garribba, Deputy Director-General for Energy of the European Commission, arrived. Among others invited were also director of the Fusion for Energy Agency (F4E) Johannes Schwemmer and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic Karel Havlíček.
