A joint work by Czech, Spanish and Swiss scientists published by Nature Nanotechnology this week, introduces a new approach to the development of non-metallic conductors which could be used in solar energy, optical technologies or nanoelectronics.

16th of May 2020 – the important milestone in the laser history
Today is an important milestone in the laser history. On the 16th of May 1960, the American physicist and engineer Theodore Maiman designed and launched the first functional laser system in the world and this year we celebrate its 60th anniversary.

A photo taken by an electron microscope sent to a competition for the cover page of a prestigious journal Materials Today published by Elsevier brought success to our PhD student Karel Tesař.
The Fourth Year of the Talent Academy is Starting Now
At the moment, students can participate in an Internet round of the competition at the following website: www.talentovka.cz. During a three-day finale in October, twelve best competitors will check out the simulation of a scientific experiment at professional laboratories of the laser centres.
