From Turkey and Syria Phytoecia (Pygoptosia) speciosa was reported to be associated with Klasea cerinthifolia (Asteraceae) and from Turkey with Klasea oligocephala (Asteraceae).

Host plant:Klasea spp.
Distribution:Turkey, Syria


The depicted beetles were collected on Klasea oligocephala in the plateaus under summit of Nemrut Dagi Mt. (Adiyaman prov., Anatolia, SE Turkey). [❖]
