Work-stay of Senior Researcher Abroad: Redox Catalysts for Environmental Processes
J. Heyrovský Institute of Physical Chemistry of the CAS, v.v.i., for the purposes of the project “Optimalisation of analytical methods for environmental and biomedical diagnostics”, Reg.No. CZ.02.2.69/0.0/0.0/18_053/0016922, under the call 02_18_053 International Mobility of Researchers, Technical and Administrative Workers of Research Institutions (MEYS, OP RDE) offers position:
Work-stay of Senior Researcher Abroad: Redox Catalysts for Environmental Processes
General requirements:
- Senior researcher - a researcher who was awarded a Ph.D. degree or similar (equivalent to Level 8 according to ISCED) 7 and more years before the date of starting the mobility (i.e.1 April 2020)
- H-index – minimum value of 8.5. The Web of Science or Scopus is a source for the conversion of the h-index value.
- A contribution in a least one international grant or national grant over the last 5 years as a solver or co-solver while it must not be an internal grant of the research organisation
- Publication activity – in the last 5 years, at least 3 publication outputs
- During the mobility implementation, be an employee of HIPC, working for at least 0.5 of working time/monthly
Research position in more details:
The scientist will spend three months research fellowship at the laboratory of the Institute for Nanostructured Materials, Roma Sapienza, Italy. The group of Dr. Maria Cristina Campa in Institute for Nanostructured Materials represents of world-wide renowned laboratory in the field of environmental catalysis. The research stay in the Institute for Nanostructured Materials gives the exceptional opportunity to develop the modern iron-based catalysts for removing of nitrogen oxides and selective catalytic reduction of NOx. During the stay the candidate will be focused on the preparation of highly active Co and Fe catalyst based on zeolites, their physiochemical characterization (ex-situ and in-situ and FTIR and Mössbauer spectroscopy) and catalytic measurements. Moreover, the study of the pathways of both catalytic reactions N2O decomposition and selective catalytic reduction of nitrogen oxides by hydrocarbons using “Operando” GC-FTIR technique will be performed.
More information concerning the position are available from Dr. Jiří Dědeček (e-mail: jiri.dedecek@jh-inst.cas.cz).
Specific requirements:
Education in experimental physical chemistry with good knowledge of FTIR spectroscopy and Mössbauer spectroscopy. Experience with preparation of cationic structures in zeolite matrices.
Work- stay starts: 1 April, 2020
Duration of the work- stay: 3 months
Work- stay location: Rome, Italy
Documents required from the candidate:
CV, brief summary of previous research, list of publications and contributions in grants, diploma copy, names plus e-mail addresses of 1 - 2 referees.
Applications with required documents must be submitted via e-mail to a contact person for HR and administrative issues: Marketa Zapletalova, marketa.zapletalovajh-inst.cas.cz
Applications deadline: February 29, 2020
