Attitudes toward social system securing – November 2016

In November 2016 CVVM included in regular research questions on social policy. Questions investigated opinions of the czech public connected to the involvement of the state and the citizens themselves to funding the sphere of social policy. Other questions focused on whether the current distribution of responsibilities is divided equally between state and citizens. Finally, we were interested in opinion on the fair distribution of benefits and abuse of the social security system.

Czech citizens and their saving up for retirement - November 2015

In November public opinion survey CVVM was interested, among other things, in how citizens perceive the Czech pension system, especially its sufficiency with regard to material security in retirement, and whether Czech citizens use the possibility of a commercial insurance. Respondents were asked whether they had been saving up money for retirement on top of the ongoing pension system guaranteed by the state, whether they are worried about insufficiency of financial security guaranteed by the state in retirement, and whether they are generally worried about financial problems during retirement.

We asked a selected part of our respondents that are not yet retired, whether they use any form of savings or investments to put money aside for their retirement, whether they fear they might not be sufficiently secured when retired, and what are their expectations regarding the sufficiency of pensions paid by the state.
