Job satisfaction - June 2011

In June CVVM surveyed satisfaction with employment in the Czech Republic.More than a half of Czech employees are satisfied with their jobs. On the other hand 4 out of 10 economically active Czechs are neither satisfied nor dissatisfied with their jobs, job dissatisfaction was expressed only by 5 % of economically active citizens. 75 % of economically active respondents are satisfied with interpersonal relationships at workplace a more than a third Czechs are satisfied with salary.

Prestige of Occupations

According to June survey of the Public Opinion Research Centre, only 21% of Czechs understands our taxation system. 41% of Czech public sees direct taxation of income as a more correct principle, 26% prefer taxation of consumption, and 33% are undecided on this matter. 70% of citizens approves progressive tax on income, 21% oppose it. In September survey CVVM investigated opinions of Czech citizens related to the level and future trend of unemployment in Czech Republic as well as to the situation on labour-market in the place of their living. The survey also tried to investigate their eventual behaviour in the course of finding of a new job in the case of being unemployed.

Citizens on Living Standard of Their Households - January 2011

According to January survey of CVVM, 44% of Czechs evaluate the living standard of their household as good, 18% consider it to be bad, and 38% characterize it as neither good, nor bad.

Citizens on Economic Situation of Their Households - October 2010

In October survey CVVM SOÚ AV ČR examined how Czech citizens see the financial situation of their households. They evaluated whether it is difficult to manage with their earnings, but also talked about attitudinal feeling of poverty. 5 % of citizens indicated their household to be rich, whilst 35 % consider it to be poor. Three fiths of respondents (59 %) regard their household as neither rich nor poor.

Evaluation of Some Social Conditions - October 2010

From all social conditions included in the survey people evaluate mostly positively only the accessibility of education (74 % positively, 19 % critically) and the health care (60 % : 38 %). All other monitored areas of social conditions - i.e. a chance to get a flat (24 % positively, 70 % critically), financial situation to start a family with children (17 % : 79 %), social security for the elderly (11 % : 83 %), life conditions for the handicapped (20 % : 64 %) and a chance to get a job (21 % : 77 %) - are evaluated largely critically.
