Jana Cahlíková

Jana has been a Senior Research Fellow at the Max Planck Institute for Tax Law and Public Finance since mid 2015. The institute is an interdisciplinary research centre part of the Max Planck Society. Situated in Munich, the organisation focuses on national and international taxation from a legal and an economic perspective. She defended her dissertation Essays on Discrimination and Endogenous Preferences in 2016.

Prior to her PhD, Jana completed her master's and bachelor's degree at the Institute of Economic Studies (IES) at Charles University. During her master's, Jana participated in the Visiting Master's Scheme between CERGE-EI and IES, where she accelerated her doctorate degree by one year by undertaking a number of CERGE-EI PhD courses. Her research interests include Behavioral economics, experimental economics and development economics.
