The Institute of Mathematics of the Czech Academy of Sciences is seeking a researcher for project "Graph limits and inhomogeneous random graphs" supported by the Czech Science Foundation. Applications are invited from candidates who should not be more than 38 years of age, and have strong background in at least one of the following areas: extremal graph theory, random graphs, graph limits, real analysis. Publications as well as other activities and professional achievements will be judged by the stage of their career. Postdoctoral fellows and PhD students are welcome to apply.
Position starting date: flexible, applicants willing to start early are particularly encouraged to apply
Appointment period: until December 31, 2020, with a possible extension until June 30, 2021 (pending approval from the Czech Science Foundation)

We invite applications of young researchers from all fields of mathematics to join one of the research teams of the Institute in Prague or Brno. Applicants must either have completed their PhD after October 1, 2018 (exceptions due to maternity/paternity leave, military service, long-term illness, care for a dependent person, and long-term international study stay are possible), or if they have not obtained their PhD yet, produce evidence that they will defend their thesis before October 1, 2020.
Position starting date: January 1, 2021
