Srovnání stavu poznání savců žijících na území současné České republiky v r. 1900 a v r. 2000. Oproti původním 63 známým druhům, je nyní v ČR známo 87 druhů savců. Mezi nově zjištěnými jsou druhy nově prokázané, nově popsané, druhy s novým taxonomickým postavením a vysazené nepůvodní druhy.

Knowledge of mammals inhabiting what is now the Czech Republic in 1900 and in 2000 is compared. While 63 mammal species were known there in 1900, to date 87 species of vertebrates have been reported in the country. Among newly found species, there are newly confirmed and newly described species, species with new taxonomic status and introduced non-native species.
