Druhý díl seriálu o přírodních motivech na českých komunálních vlajkách se věnuje různým zvířecím podobám. Právě zvířecí motivy patří na vlajkách k nejfrekventovanějším symbolům. Zvířecí figury byly a stále jsou přebírány z erbů bývalých šlechtických majitelů vsí a městeček. Autoři návrhů nových vlajek se také inspirují tzv. mluvícími názvy obcí, např. Vlčí Habřina, Velký Beranov, Beroun nebo Vepříkov. K nejčastějším symbolům patří lev, kůň a medvěd. Naopak výjimečně se na vlajce objeví křeček, kamzík, veverka či dokonce krokodýl.

The second part of this series on the natural motifs of Czech municipal flags focuses on different animal forms. The most frequent symbols include animal motifs. Animal figures were and still are taken from the coats of arms of former landlords of villages and small towns. The artists designing new flags have also been inspired by the so-called spoken names of villages. The most frequently encountered symbols on the flags are lions, horses and bears, whereas the hamster, chamois, squirrel or even a crocodile are rather exceptional.
