Abstract: We consider Schroedinger operators with random, ergodic
perturbations. Such operators are used in the quantum theory of
solids to model disordered media. In this context, the
perturbations concern the potential. Randomness is expected to
regularize certain spectral quantities, in particular the
integrated density of states (spectral density function). We prove
this regularization effect for a certain class of operators on
manifolds where the perturbations concern the metric. This is a
report on joint work with Lenz, Peyerimhoff and Post.
