In December 2019 Public Opinion Resear Centre carried out a survey about the development of situation in selected areas of public life during the year 2019.

Part of Public Opinion Research Centre survey in September were several questions concerning respondents' opinions on the functioning of democracy in the Czech Republic and undemocratic alternatives of political system.

In September, the Public Opinion Research Centre asked a set of questions related to the Velvet Revolution anniversary. The questions investigated public opinion regarding the Velvet Revolution, changes in the political and economic system in general and in different areas of life.

This year, it will be thirty years since the Velvet Revolution. On the occasion of this anniversary, Public Opinion Research Centre and Institute for Sociology of SAC in cooperation with Institute for Public Affairs in Bratislava investigated public opinion regarding the Velvet Revolution, changes in the political and economic system in general and in different areas of life. This press release contains comparison of Czech and Slovak citizens' opinion about several things related to this topic.

In its regular February survey the Public Opinion Research Centre further examined whether people think that politicians are interested in the views of citizens, and whether in the opinion of the Czech public, people have certain opportunities to influence the public sphere.

In February 2019, the Public Opinion Research Centre focused on interest of Czech citizens in politics generally, politics of the Czech Republic and European Union and worldwide politics, and also examined views on the involvement of citizens in decision-making processes.

In January 2019 Public Opinion Resear Centre carried out a survey about the development of situation in selected areas of public life during the year 2018.

In relation to so-called "eight" anniversaries were conducted public opinion reseraches in The Czech republic and in Slovakia focusing on how citizens view these historical events and individual historical figures . The press release contains selected research results aimed at comparing the Czech and Slovak view.

In April 2018 Public Opinion Research Centre included a block of questions connected to decision making of politicians. Czech public evaluated the level of influence of chosen areas and institutions on decisions of Czech politicians.
