On Monday, June 8, sixteen students and graduates of Charles University received the prestigious award from University Rector Tomáš Zima. In the Patriotic Hall, the Rector's Awards for the best graduates of Charles University, the Extraordinary Rector's Awards and the Bolzano Prize supporting scientific education and training of Charles University students were presented.
The Bolzano Prize for outstanding scientific achievement in the natural science category was received by RNDr. Markéta Bocková, Ph.D. from the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics for dissertation in the field of chemical and macromolecular physics. "I really appreciate the award, but it is also a success for our whole team, because all the results and publications that are part of my dissertation are the work of the whole team," commented Markéta Bocková after the ceremony, who continues as a postdoctoral fellow at IPE in the Optical Biosensors research team.
The Bolzano Prize for Outstanding Scientific Achievement was awarded in the natural science category, the biomedical category, and the social science category.
