Applied Projects with Real Clients

During the studies, our students get a chance to apply their newly acquired technical knowledge working on real-life projects. Over a period of four months, students form teams to work intensively for clients in the private, public or non-profit sectors, applying their analytical skills to develop informed recommendations for real-world strategic challenges. At the end, student teams present their projects in front of a jury of CERGE-EI and MAE faculty members and the clients.

Students who submit an early proposal for their own project idea are granted the possibility to work on their own project. This class will take up a significant portion of a student’s time, approximately 10 hours/person/week, even though actual review hours with the teaching team will only take up 30-60 min/team/week, and the review sessions with the client may take another 1 hour per week.

In the past clients came from diverse sectors of the economy, and included Advanced Healthcare Management Institute, Liftago, Nielsen, Platforma pro sociální bydlení.
