In the June 2020 survey the Public Opinion Research Centre examined two questions related to evaluation of material living conditions of respondent's households, and to expectation of development of these conditions in this year. Almost half (47%) of Czechs evaluates material living conditions of their households as good, 33% think they are neither good, nor bad and 12% consider them to be bad.

Public on Economic Impact of COVID-19 Epidemic - Our Society - Special - May 2020

In the survey, respondents answered several questions concerning economic impact of the epidemic and related anti-epidemic measures. In particular, the survey looked at how the incomes of households in which respondents live have changed since the beginning of the epidemic, how the crisis has affected their current economic activity and how long their household would be able to earn a living if the current situation continued.

In the January 2020 survey the Public Opinion Research Centre examined two questions related to evaluation of material living conditions of respondent's households, and to expectation of development of these conditions in this year.

More than one half (55%) of Czechs evaluates material living conditions of their households as good, 12% consider them to be bad, and 33% think they are "neither good, nor bad".

54% of Czechs expect no change of their current material living conditions, according to 19% they will improve, and 24% think that material living conditions of their households will worsen in this year.

Citizens on Economic Situation of Their Households – October 2019

The Public Opinion Research Centre in its October survey examined how Czech citizens perceive the financial situation of their households. They evaluated whether it is difficult to make ends meet with their earnings, but also talked about attitudinal feeling of poverty.

9% of citizens indicated their household to be rich, whilst 24% considered it to be poor. 66% of respondents regard their household as neither rich nor poor. Problems with current budget of their household were stated by 44% of respondents, on the other hand 54% said they have no problems with budget of the household.

Attitudes of Czech Public to Their Jobs – June 2019

June's survey of CVVM asked questions regarding the relationship of workers to their jobs. On the one hand, the survey focused on the topics such as job satisfaction, perception of workplace climate and subjective evaluation of adequacy of earnings. On the other hand, the aim was also to determine the proportion of workers considering the possibility of changing their job and what they think about the probability of job loss.
