Congratulations to Our New MAE Graduates!

On Thursday, 23 July 2020, the Graduation Ceremony of the Master in Applied Economics (MAE) program took place, during which the six students were presented diplomas.

Program Director Eva Hromádková gave a warm and witty commencement address highlighting the qualities of each student; and acknowledging the specificity of the last trimester, caused by the obstacles during lockdown, which the students successfully managed to overcome. The ceremonial event was followed by inspirational speeches by CERGE-EI Director Sergey Slobodyan, and CERGE-EI Professor Štěpán Jurajda.

"To be truly successful you need to be interesting too, and the secret of it is to cultivate a third dimension to your life. It should be something that is not your job, nor your family or friends. It should be of interest to you, something that makes a meaningful contribution both to your life and to the lives of others", reckoned Professor Jurajda.

The final speech was given by one of the graduating students, Pavla Neumannová, who highlighted the enriching experience the study program was for her and her classmates.
